BLUE WATER TASK FORCE

The Blue Water Task Force is our water quality testing program. It is comprised of a group of individuals who the second Saturday morning of the month, paddle out to various surf spots on the island, and collect a water sample to be tested later in our lab. *Water Salinity: Water salinity given in parts per thousand (ppt). Clean Ocean Water has a Salinity of 35-36ppt

 **Number of Enterococcus Bacteria per 100mL. Federal and State laws specify that any individual sample must not exceed 104 per 100mL in swimming areas. ***Formula used to determine average factors of Entero Counts Any one swimming area’s geometric mean of past 5 counts must not exceed 35 per 100mL.
